A private stud
Small, careful and growing
Pentonville Lodge is, at heart, a private stud. It is home mainly to Nikki’s own mares, and most of the horses on the yard were bred here. The stud is successful and growing every year.
Nikki is a breeder and producer of show jumpers. She takes the horses she has bred all the way to the top of the sport.

Next season
Kannan and Tangelo blood
Nikki’s next crop of mares are related to Kannan and Tangelo, two of the most influential show jumping sires of recent decades. They are super broodmares.
Their foals will be bred by embryo transfer: each mare’s embryo is carried by a recipient mare, so the best mares can have foals while their own careers carry on.
The stallion
Sky High
A silver badge elite show jumping stallion by Goborius Ranaldo. He spent years as the best show jumping stallion in Dubai, was consistently placed in Grands Prix in the UK, and retired at nineteen.
He has very good bone, has never suffered from lameness, and is known for his kind and gentle nature — exactly what Nikki breeds for.
