Terms and conditions

This website is run by Pentonville Lodge Stud, registered in England and Wales, company number 04581637. Registered office: 32 Ashcombe, Rochford, Essex SS4 1SL. The yard is at Crooked Mile, Long Green Road, Nazeing EN9 2LU.

To contact us, send a message, email nikki@pentonvillelodge.com or ring 01992 89 2662.

Lessons, training, pre-show help and stable management weeks can be booked by message or phone. A booking is confirmed once Nikki has confirmed it to you.

Prices are those shown on this website or quoted to you when you book. Prices can change, but a price confirmed for a booking won’t change for that booking.

If you need to cancel, please tell us as early as you can. We may charge for sessions cancelled at short notice or missed, and will tell you how this works when you book.

We may need to cancel or move a session because of weather, ground conditions or a horse’s welfare. If we do, we’ll offer another date or a refund for that session.

Livery is provided under a separate written livery agreement, which sets out the services, fees, payment and notice period. If anything in that agreement differs from this page, the agreement applies.

• Owners remain responsible for their horse’s insurance, and for vet and farrier accounts.
• Turnout is limited, so it is arranged in advance.
• Extra services, such as travel to shows, are charged on top of the weekly livery.

Horses can be unpredictable, and riding and being around horses carries a risk of injury even when everyone is careful.

• Wear a riding hat that meets current safety standards, boots with a small heel, and suitable clothing.
• Follow the instructions of Nikki and the yard staff at all times.
• Tell us about any medical condition or injury that could affect your riding.
• We may stop or decline a session if we think it isn’t safe to continue.

Riders under 18 need the consent of a parent or guardian, who should tell us anything we need to know to keep them safe.

Pentonville Lodge Stud holds public and employers’ liability insurance. This covers the yard’s own liability, not you personally, so we recommend that riders and owners take out their own personal insurance.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

The photographs, text and logo on this website belong to Pentonville Lodge Stud or are used with permission. Please don’t copy or reuse them without asking.

Photos taken at the yard or at shows may appear on this website. If you’re in one and would like it removed, tell us and we’ll take it down.

Reviews sent through the website are read by Nikki and published only if you tick the box agreeing to it. We may shorten a review to fit, but we won’t change its meaning, and we won’t publish anything offensive.

Some links, such as those to British Equestrian, open other organisations’ websites. We aren’t responsible for their content or how they use your information.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. We may update them from time to time; the date at the bottom of this page shows when they last changed.
